Kocher offers books for genealogists and historians that cover Ohio Land
Records extracted and compiled from the original ledgers in the State Auditors
Office in Columbus, but now at the Ohio Historical Society Archives in
Columbus, with dates ranging from 1801 to 1870s. Areas covered include land in
Southeast Ohio, Congressional Lands, Ohio River Survey, Ohio Company Purchase
(see map of Ohio below) ... School lands to 1913 in some cases as school boards
sold them when they needed funds to operate and build schools.
Excellent for establishing residency in Ohio before census records are
available, entrymen and women [the first person to enter on the land and apply
for the land patent, warrant or deed from the U.S. Land Offices in Ohio as the
state was being settled] are listed with place of residence, date of entry,
location by Range, Township, Section. Our new line of products includes
